Another biggie, this is where you “show them the money,” so to speak—or more specifically, how you plan to manage and utilize the funding that you get to launch, run, and show a profit from your business. Here, you will include all the financial information from starting up your green business to the projected profits. Use any charts and graphs necessary to illustrate how money will come in, how expenses will be handled, and what profits will ensue. Let your accountant help you with this part and try not to exaggerate or get carried away. Inaccurate financial projections are among the primary reasons why many businesses fail. Be cautious, conservative if necessary, and show estimates of how you will build your business.

It is also very important to make it clear how much funding you are seeking from any given lender, what the money will be used for and who else is backing your endeavor. While you may not have anyone else lined up, it is always a very good sign if you are putting up some of your own money. Lenders like to see that you are at least taking some of the risk.

You may also include supporting material at the end of the business plan along with your resume and any additional financial documents that support the business plan.
